Aerial boom lifts introduce additional complexity compared to other MEWPs, including extended reach, rotation, dynamic forces, and mandatory fall protection. This course is designed to develop operators who understand how boom position, load distribution, slope, wind, and side forces affect stability, and how improper sequencing or positioning can quickly lead to unsafe conditions.
Training combines structured classroom instruction with hands-on operation using real equipment. Participants learn manufacturer requirements, emergency response procedures, and safe operating practices for both slab and rough-terrain boom lifts. Instruction aligns with CSA B354 – Mobile Elevating Work Platforms and emphasizes practical decision-making in real work environments. Successful participants receive certification valid for three years.
