Boom Lift training

Boom Lift

Aerial boom lifts introduce additional complexity compared to other MEWPs, including extended reach, rotation, dynamic forces, and mandatory fall protection. This course is designed to develop operators who understand how boom position, load distribution, slope, wind, and side forces affect stability, and how improper sequencing or positioning can quickly lead to unsafe conditions.

Training combines structured classroom instruction with hands-on operation using real equipment. Participants learn manufacturer requirements, emergency response procedures, and safe operating practices for both slab and rough-terrain boom lifts. Instruction aligns with CSA B354 – Mobile Elevating Work Platforms and emphasizes practical decision-making in real work environments. Successful participants receive certification valid for three years.

Working with Cameron was an absolute pleasure. He provided training not only for my Safety Committee but also for workers located on the island. He is knowledgeable, has a great personality and is able to make safety an enjoyable conversation. I am looking forward to a very long working relationship with Haland Learning.

Highly recommend Cam. He was organized, professional and the perfect amount of casual for our tech office. He facilitated our Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee training in our downtown Victoria office. The training offered a great mix between interactive exercises and self-directed learning. It was not an 8-hour day of PowerPoint slides - thankfully. Very happy with the training. Thanks Cam!
