Instructor developmentFall protection
We're running a Fall Protection Instructor class this week with a great client. (BC Rentals). Three instructional skills we focus on are:
- Managing our ego,
- Immediate self-reflection / improvement,
- Asking and managing questions (we have tools for this)
In all of these skills, the instructor candidates are showing UNBELIEVABLY high levels of self-awareness with massive improvements occurring between each lesson delivery. They're not improving because of anything I am teaching. They are using these 3 simple skills and self-adjusting.
Helping people grow their OWN abilities make me SO freaking happy. It means we have more instructors that can be amazing (instead of "meh"), and more participants can have a good learning experience <3
