In a workplace fatality,
- When the employer screws up, the worker dies.
- When a manager screws up, the worker dies.
- When a supervisor screws up, the worker dies.
Note the common denominator. The Day of Mourning (April 28) is a day to remember and respect those that have lost their lives while simply trying to support themselves and their families. A day to remember that a lack of planning and support for workers can have the most dire consequences. NOT the legal liability. I could give a shit about that.
