I did something one Friday afternoon that most companies don't. It saved someone’s day, and built trust. A client was under pressure to get some last minute safety training done for his crew. If it wasn’t done in the next couple days, they would have to stop work on the project.
He called the normal providers. They didn’t answer the phone. He left a message at one, but they never returned the call. He went to Google and looked for other training companies. He called a bunch but they also didn’t answer the phone or return any of the messages. By now it was noon on Friday and he was getting really frustrated. This was urgent.
He got to page 2 of the Google results and found us (that’s another story about why we’re only on page 2). He called. We answered. He didn’t have to stay late at work to sort this out. Now he calls us first and doesn’t have to worry about anything.
I answer phones because I know how frustrating it is to try to talk to someone and come up empty again and again. The only thing I hate more than unanswered phones is training that sucks.
