I don't care how it looks, I care how it is

Course design

Sometimes learning design can devolve into an exercise in looking good. Looking good to third parties, looking good to clients... etc. I don't care how it LOOKS, I care how it IS. The challenge I struggle with (on a daily basis) is how to make it BE good. For me, BE good means:

  • It produces new/better behaviours
  • Engaging for the learners AND the instructor
  • An element of fun โ€” Time-sensitive (e.g. don't take 2 hours to cover a 5-minute topic)

How else would you define "Be Good"?
