Answering questions is easy; answering them correctly is not

Instructor development

As an instructor, I get asked lots of technical questions during class.

  • Answering questions is easy.
  • Answering questions CORRECTLY is not.

There is a LOT of information in the world. It's ok that I don't know all of it. My job, when teaching, is to present accurate/timely information. If a person asks a question that I don't know with certainty, it's my job to find the answer. I can't go on hearsay or opinion. Many instructors could use this lesson as well.

I meet students that have been told 100% false information, which harms their ability to make good decisions at work. Fellow instructors, PLEASE know your shit instead of shoveling it.
