Haland Learning designs and supports instructor-led safety training systems used by unions and training organizations.
These systems allow training to be delivered internally using standardized materials, defined instructional requirements, and centralized certification infrastructure — supporting consistent, compliant, and recognized outcomes.
In active use across union training environments since 2019
Courses are aligned with CSA standards, Our Fall Protection and Confined Space courses are NCSO approved. This provides recognized certification for members.
Structured lesson plans, manuals, and activities are designed to be easy to follow, reducing instructor prep time and eliminating the need to build training from scratch.
Haland's proprietary Certification Management supports verification, record keeping, reporting and digital certificates issuance with minimal paperwork.
Unions and training organizations often face similar challenges as training programs grow:
Haland’s system is designed to address these challenges structurally, not through one-off training events.
Haland Learning provides the infrastructure and standards that support consistent, defensible training delivery:
Instructor candidates attend a Haland Learning instructor training program.
Each instructor program is three days:
Days 2 and 3 focus on technical foundations, adult instruction skills, and hands-on teaching practice.
Pricing is the same across programs (see Pricing).
After completing the instructor program, instructors receive:
All required instructional materials
12 course activations to begin teaching
Additional activations are purchased as needed to support ongoing training delivery (see Pricing).
Some programs require additional equipment depending on the topic being taught.
Other instructor programs are available. If there’s a topic you don’t see listed, reach out and ask.
Haland Learning has been a strong training partner for EJTC, particularly in Fall Protection and MEWP. Their instructor-focused model, quality of materials, and consistent delivery have supported our ability to meet training requirements while maintaining a high standard for our members.

OPCMIA Local 919 saw the benefits of having the ability to train our members in-house. Since becoming a certified instructor with Haland, I have trained a multitude of members using their easy-to-follow training program. Haland Learning has a great support staff — second to none.

Haland Learning’s Fall Protection and MEWP programs stand out as the best I’ve encountered. Their train-the-trainer program goes well beyond materials, focusing on the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of instruction. The quality of the training and professionalism has been extremely well received by our membership.

Haland’s training systems are built to keep instructors confident and participants engaged. Clear structure, practical delivery, and instructor skill development help ensure training is effective — not something people just sit through.
