Scissor Lift Pre-Use Checks

The checks the course teaches you to do before operating a scissor lift: look over the machine, test it from the ground controls, then test it from the platform.

Four steps before operating any MEWP: inspect the work area, inspect the MEWP, run a ground control operational check, run a platform control operational check. This form covers the last three. The work area has its own form.

Private to you. Your answers stay on this device. There is no form to submit here and nothing is sent to Haland Learning or anyone else. They are kept in this browser so you do not lose them, and Clear everything wipes them.

Read this first. A working aid, not a substitute for the inspection. Your machine's operator manual sets out what to check on your machine, and it wins wherever it differs from this. Anything found unsafe means the machine does not get used until it is repaired.

Which machine, and who checked it

The manual's form asks for these five. They head the record you copy or print at the end.

Off the machine's own plate. This page does not know it.
