MEWP Work Area Inspection
Before the machine comes out, the ground it will stand on and the space above it get checked. This is the first of the four steps the course teaches, and the one most often skipped.
The other three steps are the machine itself and its two function checks. Those have their own forms, one for scissor lifts and one for boom lifts.
Private to you. Your answers stay on this device. There is no form to submit here and nothing is sent to Haland Learning or anyone else. They are kept in this browser so you do not lose them, and Clear everything wipes them.
Read this first. A working aid, not a substitute for the inspection. Your machine's operator manual and your site's own requirements set out what has to be checked, and they win wherever they differ from this. An unsafe work area means the machine does not go in until it is sorted.

Where, when, and who checked it
The manual's form asks who inspected and when. The machine type decides how some of these read on the ground.
The manual's form has a column for each.
The manual's form has a blank for this. Your machine's operator manual gives the limit; this page does not know it.
